Standing 6'3, this tall, muscular blonde bears all the marks of a Fleurant. He keeps himself in perfect physical condition -- a direct result from hanging out with Renate far too much.

Pepin is a cheery kind of guy. He likes to talk to everyone and likes to keep conversations civil. It is more his style to joust and taunt than to openly wage verbal war against some one. He finds it fun, and much more exhilarating than simply cursing at another man. When he was younger, Pepin would challenge his friends to test his wit.

But... he is proud and haughty, like his house is. He does think he is better than the vast majority of people and nobles. He knows how to keep himself, though, making sure that he doesn't offend those he doesn't have to. But his patience and ability to keep himself in check only goes so far as they treat him with respect. Pepin is not afraid to return fire in an instant.

He loves his family, especially his siblings and cousin Renate. He and Renate were the best of friends as children and partners in crime. Unlike Renate's brother Etienne, any rivalries with his cousin were merely friendly affairs, and sometimes when Pepin could win he would let his cousin win instead. Winning wasn't everything to Pepin, after all. He tries to keep the peace between all his family, feeling it his duty to make sure the family holds strong together.

He is an appreciator of the arts, specifically music. He could listen to an play the violin for hours and hours. He finds it soothing, and a way for him to escape the world if he ever needs to. If he had the ability, he would have beautiful music follow him wherever he went, playing soothing music in the background.

When someone manages to get Pepin angry, he tends to lose himself. He will escalate situations and suddenly become very kinetic, daring for his 'opponent' to make a move on him. He will rarely, rarely make the first attempt, but once you move against Pepin he considers it fair game. Luckily, it takes quite a deal of persistence and rage-inducing skill to get Pepin mad.

History: Pepin is the oldest of Corbeau Fleurant, who was in turn the youngest of his own brothers. Pepin has four siblings, two boys, two girls. He was born on a bright and sunny day in the city of Enos as the first of his fathers children. He had a relatively happy childhood; his parents didn't harbor any dark secrets and were not slain violently while he was a child. Indeed even by comparison of most noble children Pepin had it easy. He didn't have a huge title bearing over him and nor did he live in a province in constant strife like Arbrecht.

He payed attention to his tutor as best he could, especially so when he was learning of history and art. He found it easy to focus on the task at hand, which allowed the young man to learn with relative ease. Learning fast meant he had more time to focus on other facets of 'education', including swordplay and music. Pepin was a decent swordfighter -- enough to hold his own. He was and is a violin extraordinaire, spending much of his free time composing solos. For as good as he is in music, Pepin can't do any 'art' to save his life. His drawing ability leaves much to be desired -- he can't even make a straight line.

He spent time with Renate more often than he spent time with his own brothers. Pepin figured that this was because they were so close in age; only seperated by a few months. They bonded well together and like children often do they would do things they shouldn't together. Pepin would often assist in the playful teasing of Renates siblings, but if it ever became mean spirited Pepin would either turn the other cheek and leave or try and change the subject. This friendship has been building and continues to build for their whole life.

Pepin turned eighteen and Renate shortly after. Renate had already been matched; Pepin had not, being so far down the line of succession his match to a noble woman was not something that needed to be hurried. But he, Renate and Michon all did something that surprised the rest of the house -- Renate and Pepin left the province. They 'adventured' throughout the other provinces, seeing how people lived. It was eye-opening for Pepin, and gave him inspiration for his Violin compositions.

Pepin wasn't worried about the plague. He assumed that it being so far away from Enos it would never make it down here. He assumed that the other provinces would be able to contain and quarantine the terrible disease. Obviously, they couldn't. He blames them all for the plague reaching Ahestere and Enos, but only the lords at the time. Their heir's or family members couldn't have done anything to prevent the spread. When the plague made it into the walls of Enos, Pepin was surprised and upset. The fact that it claimed so many Fleurants sent him over the rails.

He wasn't cheery. He wasn't happy. He was quite solemn, actually. It was only last year that Pepin got back to his old self in it's entirety. Now he does everything he can to assist Renate in his lordly duties. After all, what else did Pepin have to do? He hopes that he'll meet a fine lady at the ball. He doesn't think he's old, and he's not particularly rushing, but Renate knows he is a bit behind the eight ball and he doesn't want to settle for a local noble girl. Ever since he and Renate ventured forth he's been dieing for something 'foreign.'

Writing Sample: The sweet sound of music flooded the air around Pepin's chambers. There was no doubt he was practicing his Violin once more; it was a way for him to express himself without words and in a manner that was much more pleasing than words anyway. He brought the bow back and forth with a smile on his face and his eyes closed. It sounded like pure bliss to him.

Suddenly, Pepin stopped, put the violin down and reached for a paper and his quill. He wrote down precisely what he had played to record the music. He always did that when he felt just right. It wasn't something strange for a musician to do. After all, all those who fancied themselves marvelous in their trade recorded their secrets. Perhaps he would be able to get Sophie's opinion later on in the day?

He got up and clapped his hand together as he headed for the doors. It was nearly time for food, and Pepin always liked to arrive a bit early so he could strike up a conversation with family members. It was there that Pepin learned what was going on in the family. It was there that he learned what was going on in the outside world; indeed, if books were how one gathered information on past events, dinner was how Pepin gathered information on current events.

Plus, sometimes he brought his violin along and got to play!
