I know that you know by now what happened to our brother. It is true. Zacharias was killed by Lord Donovan Castell after a battle in his city. More than ever, I wish you were home so that I could be with you, that I could see that you were safe with my own eyes. I write to you to let you know that I am safe, that I am not yet headed into the heart of the war. I write to you to promise that I am not going anywhere.

I need to know that you are all right. You have not written in a while to tell me of the plague and if it has passed.

He loved you so much, Quinn. He always spoke of you, cherished you. He was so proud of you, just as I am proud to call you my sister. I am so sorry.

I love you, darling sister. I always will.
