A letter to Jacques Ashpool, Sent 5/17

A letter, stamped and sealed by Rex Letalis, arrives for Jacques.

Lord Jacques,

I bring ominous tidings. Lord Castell sends letters to demand of House Letalis as animals, as simple minded dogs begging for scraps at the table of their newly decided kingdom. I regret to say that as the proud wolves we are, I could not bring us to feign being happy with this treatment, so I may very well have severed our ties to the Castells.

But I write to you not to complain of my problems, merely to inform you of a matter you should be aware of. Lord Castell sets a date of the seventh of June as a date I must crook my knee by. Whatever the reason, he plans something for this date. Look to your borders, my friend, as I will mine, for he seems to have abandoned Gyllene as a lost cause. We, or Mallory are the next viable targets.

I don't wish to see a repeat of history. Letalis shall be ready for them and will continue to stand by the Ashpools as we should.
