Anything (literally... anything) by Gillian Flynn. Gone Girl or Dark Places or Sharp Objects...

Most importantly, The Wayfarer Redemption by Sara Douglass. It's the first thing @Jenn and I bonded over!!! It's literally my favorite trilogy ever.

Sara Douglass is amazing.

Right now I'm addicted to (and keep rereading my favorite parts) Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi. I am so on team..... NOT GOING TO TELL YOU UNTIL YOU READ IT BECAUSE OMG. OMG. And the 1st novella... Epic. I had to read it again tonight. I am addicted.

I see the Selection Trilogy all the time showing up on my kindle. What is about it? @Rae

I'm also reading the Mindjack trilogy and it's very good, but not as good as Shatter Me was.

It's like The Hunger Games for princesses, writing style wasn't super great but I'm addicted for the concept and Maxon <3

Tamora Pierce has 2 awesome worlds she writes about. Lioness quartet was awesome. Dianne Wynne Jones is another I'd give a look at. Howl's Moving Castle trilogy was good read. Really liked her Chrestomanci books though. If you are looking for something Merlin, T.A. Baron does that well. Several books in that series. I also like Garth Nix.

I second Wolfies suggestion of T.A. Barron books. Really lovely.

His Dark Materials series by Phillip Pulman

The Uglies series by Scott Westerfield

I do suggest Orson Scott Card, but only if you borrow from a library instead of buying it. He is an excellent writer and keeps his politics out of his books. Particular favorites of mine are his Ender and Bean series. I also recently read Pathfinder and the second book in the series, Ruins. Both really good. Also read Enchanted by him too. Modern-ish sleeping beauty. Theres time travel involved.

If you are into graphic novels and havent read it yet, V for Vendetta, and Watchmen.

Anthem by Ayn Rand. If you read it, come have a chat with me. Its really well written, but there is also something off about the first half of the book, and its really interestign once you realize what it is.
