Homecoming [DeLaunceys, Invite]
The day was beautiful, one of those great days where you cancelled all of your plans and took a basket onto a hill, enjoying the weather for what it was. The air was crisp, the temperature a perfect balance. The wind blew gently, tugging at the hems of clothing but not disrupting a hair on a head.
Atticus had returned to the Vandermark finally, after a long hiatus. He had showed himself at Castle Licorn only briefly, having ducked most of the DeLauncey family and others while there. He had spent time sight seeing, finally having an excuse to be on the island.
He returned from the trip later than the rest of the family, and had to deal with those problems, as ever. After clearing his credentials throughout the castle, he made his way towards the palace.
Once inside, he would look around for the nearest DeLauncey, and announce his return. He suspected they'd be glad to see him, but who knew. He was more than used to being forgotten by those he loved.
