Call to arms! (6.3 - late evening - Devlin SOLO)

His post was waiting for him on his desk when he returned from the kitchens. It was strange, getting used to this new place, but he would. It was to be his home. He had insisted on cooking his own meal, something that bothered his cook to no end, but Devlin needed the distraction of something familiar, something he was good at.

He moved to his chair, pausing only to pour himself a snifter of brandy before looking through the mail. A letter from Cid, and something from his lord cousin? Putting the snifter down he broke the seal and read the words, his eyes growing with every point punctuated therein. Stalking to his door he called out to his guards.

"Summon my council! I want them here within the quarter hour!" He listened as the guards did his bidding, before closing the door.

He moved back to his desk and put Cid's letter to the side. Personal mail would have to wait, there were preparations to make...
