Edward Winter

It had been several weeks since the disasterous ambush on the Blasa army, which had sapped the will to fight of many. Edward Winter and his contingent of men from Psyna had done his best to maintain order, but the dwindling spirits of many, among both his men and the other lords, was clear. There were grumblings that it might be time to give up and withdraw, that they never should have come to the island.
Whatever Edward's feelings were on that, once the letter from Lyanna arrived bearing the news of Theodoric Severne's invasion, his path was made clear. Letter in hand, accompanied by a pair of his guards, he stalked angrily to the command tent. Leonard had been reclusive since the attack on him, perhaps hiding an injury, but that did not matter to the now-official Lord of House Winter.
"I need to speak with the lord, it is an urgent matter." Edward's features were more stony than usual as he addressed the guards outside the tent. He would not accept delaying tactics. His city, his castle, his family was in danger. The time to meddle in Tocken's affairs was over.
