Lord Feran,

I write to you with a heavy heart this evening. My son, Ryndor, to whom your great-granddaughter Victoria was betrothed, was vilely murdered in his sleep two nights past. Whoever has done this has harmed not only House Castell, but House Delamere as well.

I ask that your House support us in our efforts to track down the murderer, who also injured Bradyn and kidnapped Rilynn. This is a time to light the torch, to unite all of Ovadar. We may well stand alone in this endeavour, depending on which enemy has brought this war to our gates.

You and your kin are welcome in Trista at this time. The funeral will be in one weeks time, as the maester is busy looking for clues before we conduct the rites.

Signed and sealed
Victor Castell
Lord of Trista, Defender of Ovadar

Lord Castell,

My heart will never cease breaking for the grievous loss we have experienced, and I offer you every assurance that my family stands at the ready to avenge Ryndor's loss. That sweet child was as dear to me as my own blood, and I have dispatched riders to officially light Bradyn's torch to let all in my lands known that the ancient bond of our families must be honored.

However, it seems our enemies anticipated House Delamere's involvement and they have been attacking my lands on two fronts: with a large and skilled mercenary force that have been striking my cities on the fringe of my territories and a group within Trinda, who are spreading sedition and rebellion amongst my people. In the second effort they have already proven successful, as a riot broke out in the city. My third son Lars has been lost in the exchange of violence and my youngest son Faenor is missing and presumed dead. Truly we both suffer, my blood brother, and although we grieve I know that we stand resolved to punish the cowards that dare taint our land with their murderous and corrupt ways. Our houses never be divided again and I will not rest until the house of Sterlyn, to their very last son and daughter, are exterminated and left for the crows and carrion.

Before we can begin preparing our warships I need your assistance in discovering the source of this mutiny within my walls. I find myself without two capable men in the field and I ask that a small group of your best can brave the dangers of Trinda's streets and put an end to this madness.

I await your word, dear blood brother, and I can only pray that in time our broken hearts may heal with the bodies of our vanquished foe.

Your brother in arms,
Feran Delamere

Feran,

I am sending three of my best along with their hand-picked men to aid you in your task of ridding Trinda from this blight. Except Sir Grayson Castell, Sir Jonathon Castell, and Sir Breckt Al Anz in a few days.

When you are well and able, I would request you and yours make the short trip to Trista, so that we might visit in person. Or,if you are unable, let me know. I will ride south with a small retinue.

Sincerely,
Victor Castell
King of Forsilvra, Lord of Trista, Defendor of Ovadar
